Create or update your web page to communicate with students, parents, post assignments, and share files.
Directions
If you do not already have a web page I suggest using Google to create and host your new web page. If you choose Frontpage or Dreamweaver please also see the last section about hosting your website..
Basic Vocabulary
Web page is a text document viewed using a web browser
Web browser is software used to display and interact with text, images, videos, music and other information typically located on a Web page at a website on the World Wide Web, like Internet Explorer or Firefox.
World Wide Web is a system of interlinked hypertext web pages accessed via the Internet.
Web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Your school may host your web page for you.

- Create a Google account at www.google.com
- Click on “sign-in” to create an account (top right)
- Click “more” and the “even more” (top of page)
- Click on “Sites” (right column)
- Follow the directions and create your web site
- If you don’t like Google try free webs at http://members.freewebs.com/

Free hosting is available from a variety of companies choose one, create an account and upload your web page and images to the host. There are many more free hosting services available. Also, your school may have hosting available.
